SAP Education Foundations Program Opens in China
Sap has announced to launch its SAP Education Foundations Program in Beijing, China. The innovative education program targets recent university graduates, individuals or partner consultants with less than one year of work experience.
The inaugural launch of the new SAP global program in China is a show of SAP’s commitment to the growth of the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region, as SAP APJ’s stellar growth figures in the first half of 2008 continues to position itself as the global growth engine for the company, claimed the company.
With Beijing and Dalian as the first stops, the program will subsequently be rolled out in Shanghai, Nanjing and Chengdu within China. By 2010, the program aims to provide 2,000 students per year with a high-touch, high-value experience to equip them with the necessary skills to meet growing market demands in China.
“The SAP Education Foundations Program will allow SAP to develop a larger skilled pool of professionals for China’s software industry, fulfilling SAP’s commitment to cultivate talent at Chinese universities and in the software industry, thus promoting the development of China’s management software industry,” Timothy Cheung, Managing Director, SAP China.
Following the successful launch in China, the program will also be rolled out to other key locations globally with a particular focus on emerging markets.
