Study: BEA Leads Application Server Software Market In India
Independent analyst group – IDC, has identified BEA Systems as the clear leader in India’s application server software market with a market share of 30 per cent.
According to the latest 2H06 report, BEA Systems market share in the application server software market grew from 20 per cent to 30 per cent in 1H06 outgrowing global players in the process.
Shailender Kumar, Country Head, BEA Systems remarked, “We are delighted with the outcome of the report as it re-emphasises the strength of our technologies, particularly in a key domain such as application server software. India has tremendous opportunity for BEA and we have been doubling our growth year on year. Customers are recognising the need to invest in Service Oriented Architecture and our increased market share just re-iterates that fact.”

According to Springboard Research, India is poised to be the fastest growing SOA market in Asia and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 49 per cent from 2006-09. The research also mentioned that Indian companies have one of the highest awareness levels of SOA and its benefits in the region.
