Taiwan’s HTC Launches GPS Phone

Taiwan based High Tech Computers (HTC) has launched a Global Positioning System (GPS) phone. Called HTC P3300, the best feature of this phone its GPS function that lets users to take photos which then automatically embeds the photos with satellite location.

The phone comes with a MapKing R12 software. The phone is built with SiRF III chips with 20 parallel channel receivers and offers wireless LAN access. HTC P3300 also has a 2.0 megapixel camera and FM radio.

The company said, "The P3300 GPS phone with photo navigation is an addition to our existing portfolio of world class smartphones and PDAs available in India under the HTC brand."

The 128 gram phone is powered by a Windows Mobile 6 professional software and also has a 128MB built-in ROM and 64MB RAM.
